POV: Your daughter officially outgrew her favorite cartoon dress. It’s too small to wear, but too cute to toss. What now?

As a DIY lover, I see a “too-small” dress as a treasure box of fabric. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to transform one outgrown dress into several practical, adorable items—including a giant cartoon tote bag!
What You Need
Before we start cutting, make sure you have these essentials ready:
- The Outgrown Dress (Preferably with a fun cartoon print)
- Professional Tailor’s Chalk (Essential for precise marking on fabric)
- Fabric Scissors
- 36 Pcs Big Eye Needle Kit
Planning & Cutting
Don’t rush! Use your sewing chalk to mark the areas you want to save.
The Skirt Part: Usually has the most fabric—perfect for a large bag.
The Top Part: Can be turned into smaller accessories like headbands or pouches.

Upcycling is more than just saving money—it’s about preserving memories. Now, your daughter’s favorite print can stay with you in a brand-new way.
