   The kit is great in what they include—the yarn, needle, etc. but the yarn is not really a beginner yarn since it is skinnier and made up of strands. The penguin which asks for changing yarn mid row is a feat that is not easy. The video is well done and written booklet very good with illustrations. Nice that video can be reviewed over and over.

   Fun Craft for Older Kids

   I got this as a gift for my daughter’s friends. she just started taking interest in crocheting a few months prior. These were not her first pieces, but she loved how cute they were. They were not too difficult for her either. I may not recommend for someone who’s never crocheted before, but I think a beginner would do just fine.

   I was impressed by how much was included in this kit. Even though this included a QR code with videos to teach how to do the different stitches, I ended up scouring YouTube for more tutorials because there are a lot of different ways to do the same stitches, and some methods resonated with me more than others.
   
   Overall, I think it was a good value for the money and I am happy with my purchase!
