   Perfect for beginners

   My 9 year old loved this. It was easy for her to learn but it did take her a few tries to get it and almost a week to finish one. But she loved it.

   Fun Craft for Older Kids

   I ordered this for my 10 year old. It took a while for him to understand crochet but I liked it! I think it’s better for tweens.

   I really like this product. Everything came as promised in the box. Very helpful tutorials they have on YouTube as well as the book they give you. They make sure you have all the resources you need in order to learn. This is fun but hard to do it’s going to take a couple of tries.

   High quality - everything included, very organized. Extra yarn for screw-ups included!
   
   I ordered these for myself and my 9-yo daughter to work on during a long car trip, because neither of us know how to crochet. I have had experience with macrame and knitting, but she has had little. I was able to figure it out eventually, but she didn't have the patience to keep going on her own. It might be a generational thing, but it wasn't the home run I was hoping for.
   
   The stitches are explained well, and the videos are very helpful - for an adult learner, this was great. For a newbie with a shorter attention span, a starter kit with even smaller projects might be more encouraging.

   I got this as a birthday gift for my 8 year old niece. She is just beginning her crochet journey. She did state that it is pretty difficult for beginners and that the instructional videos weren’t the most helpful. I think by next year she’ll be able to give it another go. Seems to be high quality materials though.
